Concept Art for Ending Scene

Two new designs for the ending scene of our short superheroes comedy to figure out the mood and scene layout.

Scene Set Up Thumbnails

First thumbnails to help us figure out details and the best scene set up for each scene.  1-2 Batman Scene, 3-4 Flash Scene, 5-6 Ending Scene 1-3 Batman Scene, 4-6 Superman Scene

Final Storyboard

Image
We've made a few tweaks for the storyboards and this is probably our final storyboard for Superman and ending scene.

Storyboards/Superman and ending scene

Image
As our Superman scene includes flying and falling which isn't really possible to record a physical video reference, we decided to draw sotryboards to better figure out details for the scene.  Storyboard 1, initial storyboard for Superman scene Storyboard 2, initial storyboard for the ending scene  Storyboard 3, updated Superman scene  Storyboard 4, latest update for both Superman and Ending scene  We decided that mid shots for Superman scene are not necessary and we've also simplyfied the ending scene by joining it together with the Superman scene.

Props Design/Hulk and Batman

Image
We are trying to figure the right shapes and design for the props. Top picture are designs for Hulk's car. Bottom picture are Batman's mobility scooter.

Batman Character Silhouettes

Image
With these silhouettes we are trying to get some sense of what a retired superhero may look like by sketching out different body sizes and poses. If there are any that strike you as fitting Batman, please let us know.

Batman and Flash - Outfit Trials

Image
We decided it would be a good idea for us to try out some outfits for Moom using Photoshop before taking anything into Maya. We're trying to make each of the characters instantly recognisable, without having to change the model completely or edit it too much. We haven't yet decided whether we'll be taking any of these further, but it's at least a good way to visualise the final outcome on Moom.

Creating Studio/Branding/Twisted Turtle Studios

Image
We are starting the second year with a collaboration project. We've created animation studio named Twisted Turtle Studios and been working on our visual identity. Each of us came up with a few different ideas for the logo of our studio from which we took some favourites for a farther development and narrowed it down to the one final design. We decided to go with a simple and clean design which we believe works best with the name of our studio.  Initial ideas 1. 2. 3. Development 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.
